Even if we have decided that we are most happy when we focus on one particular side of things, it is always worth exploring the other sides. When we do, we become well rounded, more understanding of other viewpoints, and even more solid in our own.

Perhaps you are a person who tends to see your life in terms of your spiritual well-being. As a result, other concerns such as financial comfort or social standing may not be prominent in your mind as you make decisions. However, taking just a moment to consider those angles will help you in several ways. One, it will enable you to see more clearly what your priorities are and how they influence your life situation. Two, it will enhance your sense of confidence, because you will see your situation from all sides, even as you choose one. And three, it will help you communicate with others about who you are and what you are doing, because you will come from a place of understanding that your own biases and tendencies are unique as are theirs.

The universe accepts all promises you make as energetic vows taken seriously.

People have been making promises and keeping them or not keeping them, ever since they learned how to do this. Those who keep their promises are regarded as people of integrity, while those who don’t keep their promises are regarded as people who at best can’t be taken seriously and at worst can’t be trusted.

A lack of trust and haphazardness is caused when we subconsciously forget how powerful our words are. This often causes pain and frustration with others when we disappoint them.

An early heartache may have been followed by a promise never to trust love again. Without realizing it, we may be fulfilling that promise and wondering why our love life looks so grim. At an even deeper level, many people who recall past lives become aware that they made a promise lifetimes ago that they are still keeping. On an even deeper level, there are promises we may have made to ourselves that we don’t remember because they have slipped into our unconscious. For example, a vow of poverty taken in a lifetime as a monk may be holding someone back from fulfilling his earning potential now. Upon realizing that we have made a promise we no longer wish to be beholden to, we can perform a ritual of requesting release from that bond. In doing so, we clear ourselves of outmoded connections and patterns, returning ourselves to a clean slate. Then we can resolve to remember that our word is sacred and to be very conscious of any promises we make to ourselves or to others.

We can ask for the wisdom to do our best and from this point forward to be true to our word, promising only what we truly intend to deliver. The resulting clear conscience and liberated energy will illustrate this truth: We are only as good as our word. We may ask to be released from any promises made to ourselves or others in our present, past, or future lives, consciously or unconsciously, that are holding us back from fulfilling our greatest good. Reiki is a Japanese approach for tension control and relaxation which experts claim also encourages healing. What generally happens is that the image spontaneously transforms in a way that feels healing. The individual watches as the trap that was holding the leg simply dissolves and disappears. They see themselves then being able to move about freely and with a sense of contentment and peace. The big unexplained grey object morphs into a big egg which opens up and releases light and a feeling of peace that the person senses themselves absorbing as she or he watches.If the picture doesn’t change, if no picture is seen, or in order to resolve any remaining upset, the individual uses healing statements. After each statement, the person takes a deep breath and lets it go, and focuses upon the healing symbol. Upsets are then healed and transformed, as positive feelings grow and strengthen.Examples of healing statements are:I heal all of the fears that any parts of me have, that I can’t get free of this problem * I heal any and all feelings that any parts of me have, that I am trapped.* I let all of the parts of me know, deeply and completely, that I am safe.* All of the different parts of me now experience a growing sense of peace and comfort.*My entire body is relaxing now.Sound simple? It is - extremely simple, and yet powerfully and deeply effective. Best of all, the effects are lasting - providing that energetic imbalances are addressed and healed, results will in most cases be permanent.

Finding Balance and Tranquility in Life

We are lucky in the modern-day world that we have got the knowledge that health is more than whether or not we are free from disease. Being healthy includes our psychological state, our religious bodies and our emotions. Many people spend several years looking for systems and strategies which help them to find balance in their lives. It’s a good idea to listen to friends, family and colleagues as to what their strategies are and even try them in your own routine. It is fine if you don’t feel that you’re receiving as good a response as others have claimed they have; I can not stress enough how this way of finding peace, harmony and balance is completely individual, different methods may work fine with one individual but not with another.

I spent several years searching, trying to find my own private kind of healing.
