The Root Chakra (Muladhara)

The root chakra is associated with all aspects of our physical well-being. It is our primal life force. In health, it is focused on physical well-being. In safety, it is focused on shelter and security. In financial matters, it is concerned with meeting basic needs and prosperity. A well-grounded individual has taken care of these basic physical needs. A balanced root chakra moves beyond simple existence. In balance, it represents a life lived with vitality, action and feeling.

The first step to a balanced root chakra is living a balanced lifestyle. A balanced diet is a good place to start. Foods high in sugar and caffeine, and alcohol cause energy blockages and interfere with brain wave activity during meditation. Fresh fruit and vegetables help to open up the energy flows. Exercise and interaction with nature will keep you grounded with the earth.

Root chakra meditation is like starting the engine of an old car. It may be difficult to get the energy pumped through the system, but once the car is fuelled the engine will hum. When the root chakra is unbalanced, you lack motivation and energy to fulfill basic needs. At the root chakra, it is necessary to get the latent energy moving before it can ascend through the chakras. Once the root chakra energy vortexes are spinning and balanced, other physical wants and desires will manifest themselves in abundance.

Yantras - Since ancient times, meditating to the vibrations of sacred geometry has been practiced to balance the chakras. A Yantra is a symbol that may link up to an astrological sign, planet, date or something else of meaning to you. The root chakra yantra is a downward pointing triangle in a square.

In reality, chakra energy flows follow the pattern of an infinite spiral. The energy courses up and down the chakras. A change in one chakra affects the energy balance in all of the other chakras. A balanced root chakra centers the base, making it easier for the other chakras to fall into alignment. A useful analogy to think of is what happens when you give a spinning top a weak spin; the spin is slow and wobbly, and eventually the top falls down. A strong spin provides the energy to increase the speed and balance of the spinning energy vortexes of the other chakras.

Reasons To Be As Good As Your Word

The universe accepts all promises you make as energetic vows taken seriously.

People have been making promises and keeping them or not keeping them, ever since they learned how to do this. Those who keep their promises are regarded as people of integrity, while those who don’t keep their promises are regarded as people who at best can’t be taken seriously and at worst can’t be trusted.

A lack of trust and haphazardness is caused when we subconsciously forget how powerful our words are. This often causes pain and frustration with others when we disappoint them.

An early heartache may have been followed by a promise never to trust love again. Without realizing it, we may be fulfilling that promise and wondering why our love life looks so grim. At an even deeper level, many people who recall past lives become aware that they made a promise lifetimes ago that they are still keeping. On an even deeper level, there are promises we may have made to ourselves that we don’t remember because they have slipped into our unconscious. For example, a vow of poverty taken in a lifetime as a monk may be holding someone back from fulfilling his earning potential now. Upon realizing that we have made a promise we no longer wish to be beholden to, we can perform a ritual of requesting release from that bond. In doing so, we clear ourselves of outmoded connections and patterns, returning ourselves to a clean slate. Then we can resolve to remember that our word is sacred and to be very conscious of any promises we make to ourselves or to others.

We can ask for the wisdom to do our best and from this point forward to be true to our word, promising only what we truly intend to deliver. The resulting clear conscience and liberated energy will illustrate this truth: We are only as good as our word. We may ask to be released from any promises made to ourselves or others in our present, past, or future lives, consciously or unconsciously, that are holding us back from fulfilling our greatest good. We may ask that love, light, and healing be sent to any souls who have suffered from our inability to be true to our word, including ourselves.

Clinging To Regret is Holding Onto A Dead Weight

Holding onto regret is like dragging the weight of the past with us everywhere we go.

While zapping our energy, the attachment with regret can cause illness the same way watering a dead plant causes decay. We know that something new and beautiful can grow in its place if we only prepare the soil and plant the right seeds. We also know that we create our lives from our thoughts, so dwelling on the past may actually recreate a situation in our lives where we are forced to make the choice again and again. We can choose to move on right now by applying what we have learned to the present and perhaps even sharing with others, transforming the energy into something that is constructive and creative for ourselves and others.

Forgiveness is the soothing balm that can heal regret. In meditation, we can imagine discussing the issue with the self of our past and offering our forgiveness for the choice. In return, we can ask for our selves’ forgiveness for keeping them locked in that space of judgment for so long.

By replaying the event in our minds, we can choose a new ending using all that we now know. Imagine that you have actually gone back into the past and made this change, and then say goodbye to it. We may also want to ask forgiveness from anyone else who may have been affected and perhaps offer our forgiveness. By replaying the event in our minds, we can choose a new ending using all that we now know. Release your former self with a hug and bring the forgiveness and love back with you to the present. Since we are usually our harshest critics, it is amazing how powerfully healing it can be to offer ourselves love.

Keeping our minds and our energy fully in the present allows us to fuel our physical and emotional healing and well-being today. This action frees our energy to create the dreams we dream for the future. By taking responsibility and action in the present, we can release our hold on the past.

Chakra Healing with the power of light

Our Chakras, do so much for us, even though we can’t always see it. We can train ourselves to feel our Chakras, making it much easier for us to interact in a healthy way with others and with the world around us. The word ‘Chakra’ comes from the Sanskrit word for ‘wheel’. These energy centers are fundamental in processing the energies and vibrations that are all around us.

We are warned of the dangers of too much sun exposure, but rarely are we reminded that our sun is the source of all of the light that we need to live on this Earth. Instead we are told to avoid it. As a result, many people suffer from the effects of a deficiency of sunlight, which has prompted main stream medicine to ‘find a cure’ to such ailments as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and depression by prescribing full spectrum indoor lighting to patients who have these afflictions.

Alternative healing modalities have, for years, been gently reminding us not to be afraid of the life giving sunlight that is required for life to exist. Even so, there are dangers to an excess of sun exposure, and as our planetary conditions change it is thought that these dangers will become more pronounced over time. Several healing therapies have been developed over the last 50 years or so that stimulate the chakras using colored light that corresponds to each of the seven major Chakras of the human body. Each Chakra vibrates at a different frequency and is therefore resonant with a different color. Stimulating each chakra with the appropriate color of light has been shown to release blocked energy, nourishing the chakras and allowing them to continue on with the process of absorbing, distributing and radiating all of the various types of energy that they come into contact with.

Our chakras are our energetic internal guidance system, and learning to listen and pay attention to the needs of our energy bodies and to respond lovingly, with care and affection, to the energy that we have flowing through us right now is one of the best ways that we have of securing happiness in this life and healing those that we love in preparation for the uncertainties of the future. Our chakras do not lie. They are either free flowing and open or shut down and impeded. Learning the intricacies of our energy bodies does not have to be a lifelong quest. All we need do is pay attention to our centering, our attitude, our openness to life and possibility. When we find ourselves stuck, upset, down, depressed or overwhelmed, we can easily transition into a mindset of release, rather than get bogged down in hopelessness.

One way to determine which Chakras are out of balance is simply to do a quick inventory on your life and your relationships and try to feel what sort of lack is coming up for you as a result of your interactions. Arguments with your spouse could clue you in on a seeming lack of love or acceptance. The Heart Chakra could be stalled. Feeling flighty or impatient could be the result of a Root Chakra imbalance. Manipulation or lies are Throat Chakra imbalances. Once you have a general idea of where your emotional imbalance might be, you can give the Chakras some extra attention and care by placing colored felt or fabric in the colors of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet, on the corresponding Chakra, breathing the color into your energy center and letting the vibrations pass into your body through your Chakras.

Spending just a few minutes outside each day, absorbing the full spectrum of rays from our sun, will benefit us in so many ways. Using colored light on the chakras themselves further strengthens our systems to absorb the sun’s helpful rays more thoroughly, promoting balance, radiance and overall good health.

Immune-Building Herbs

So in this post we are going to find out more about Reishi Mushroom, which is maybe the largest herb in the world. And why I say that, why I make that claim, is that this herb is the most scientifically researched of any herb ever known, ever studied. On top of that, it's one of the most respected, if not the most respected, herb of all of ancient China.

Reishi helps the immune system do what it does far better. And for me and my personal life, I've seen some pretty dazzling effects from working with the immune system, using these herbs, from working with folk, acquaintances and family, I've seen some pretty amazing things too. Clearly I'm not making any claims, I am just relaying things I've seen in my own life, and fundamentally, you know, I am at that point in my life where it’s almost not even an opportunity to get sick or catch a cold or do anything like that.

You might think, ah, that sounds unusual or I assumed you were meant to become ill or I believed that's O.K, if that is what you want and that's what you're into, that's fine but for me, I am not really into that, so I just worked and set up a way of living and set up a kind of a habit which expedite that and need that as a real probability.

So for me, it’s definitely possible that everyone can get to a point where we cannot ever be sick again. I'm not saying that if you just take reishi mushroom, you’ll never be sick again for your whole life because I'm not the universe, I'm not the cosmos, I am not you, I'm not sure, I can't make those claims.

What I'll say is that taking immune-modulating herbs can have a definite balancing and reinforcing effect for the immune system, and if you couple that with eating healthily and exercising and drinking good water and breathing and minimizing stress and meditating and doing all those alternative common sense things which I've discussed in other podcasts and videos, then you've got a really good program, a really pleasant way of life set up. So for me, reishi is one of the finest herbs for the immune system, and as it contains polysaccharides.

Acclimatising To Today's World

So in this piece we're going to find out about Reishi Mushroom and one or two other extraordinary herbs. Reishi is perhaps the biggest herb on the planet. And why I say that, why I make that claim, is this herb is the most scientifically analyzed of any herb ever known, ever studied. On top of that, it's one of the most revered, if not the most respected, herb of all of ancient China.

Now also, cordyceps as well as astragalus are immune-modulating too. As one or two other herbs that are modulating to the immune system, but in a different way.

The 1st one would be polyrachis ant. That's also an immune-modulator, and excellent for the immune response because it essentially helps with the expansion and the upkeep of the fimus gland, which is a gland that seems to kind of shrivel up and wither away as we age, and it is a actually crucial and critical part of our immunity mechanism.

So that the 2nd herb would be gynostemma. Gynostemma is honestly, talking of, I need to take a drink now…gynostemma is probably one of the finest adaptagens in the world, and it has 82-88-100 different adaptagenic sapanins, dependent on who you speak to or what research you read, there’s numerous numbers. But essentially, it is also an immune tonic, and immune-modulating thing, but in a touch different way as it has marginally different characters, subtly different chemical makeup. So that you can see whether you add in a wide selection of immune herbs, immune tonics, and cycle them through in time and just experiment and change it up, you can have a pretty awesome line up.

Because each one of these different things kind of hit things at another angle and modulate things at an alternative angle.

And the immune reaction is truly urgent and critical and crucial for lots of reasons. One of them is that, number one, we're facing a lot of viruses and bacteria and mould and yeast, etcetera, all the time. Particularly if we're working in public or working in a building with plenty of other folks, especially if they're just conventional folk who don't know anything or do anything about health.

Immune System and Herbs

So in this article we are going to find out more about Reishi Mushroom, which is probably the largest herb in the world. And why I say that, why I make that claim, is that this herb is the most scientifically analyzed of any herb ever known, ever studied. On top of that, it's one of the most revered, if not the most respected, herb of all of ancient China.

Clearly if you had a life endangering condition and you required a extreme medication, that could be a suitable thing. Which, if you concentrate on it, that is basically what pharmaceutical medication is, is they isolate one chemical and they super hyper concentrate it.

As a consequence, there’s many complications that come together with that because they sort of eliminated the natural and inherit intelligence of the plant.

So for this reason, reishi is ideally, for me, in a full plant range concentrated extract that has been removed and both with hot water and alcohol to drag out both the water-soluble constituents and the oil-soluble components. So that is simply an vital kind of side note and detour that I needed to take and just make two those important points.

So as I mentioned before, reishi is an immune-modulator and an immune tonic because it has these polysaccharides, these betaglucans, as well as many other chemicals that are contained within it. So fundamentally what these things can do is when we take them into our body, they sort of plug in like lock and key on various receptor sites in our immune system.

And then they fundamentally say, hey immune mechanism, you have something going on over here, you need to go check that out. Or they assert hey, all you immune cells are just sitting there doing nothing, you need to get up and get to work and get some action. So then boom, it helps to improve that under-active part, but then there is a part over here that asserts, hey, you are really overactive, you're kind of overdoing it over here, just unwind a bit, just bring it down, or maybe come focus over here. So fundamentally what that suggests is these unique chemicals can plug into receptor sites on our immune system and help the immune system function more effectively and efficiently and essentially more intelligently.

The Negative Results of Stress

So in this article we are going to find out more about Reishi Mushroom, which is probably the largest herb on the planet. And why I say that, why I make that claim, is that this herb is the most scientifically analyzed of any herb ever known, ever studied. On top of that, it's one of the most respected, if not the most revered, herb of all of traditional China.

Now manifestly, we’re all human, we all feel stresses, we all feel stresses all of the time, it's simply a matter of how we handle it and how we're ready to handle it and deal with it. Because the concept isn't to dump stress altogether and just sit noiselessly in a room in the dark and never do anything, because that is truly out of whack and that actually has zip to do with life.

We ought to be growing and expanding and feeling healthy and feeling critical and being barely challenging ourselves all of the time so we are always moving and growing and becoming more of who we actually are. Now there’s essentially been plenty of research done on the effects of stress on the body. And there’s one researcher from Stanford who is kind of an integrated medication expert, and he's basically concluded that, at least in America, between 80-90% of all illnesses have connections to stress.

And 75-90% of all visits to the doctor are for stress or anxiety-related conditions. And it’s really not that tough to fathom, not that hard to grasp when you look at our modern world and how overwhelmed and blitzed we are with stimuli and info all of the time, from cellular phones, texts, voice mails, phone calls, missed calls, mails, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumbler, Stumbleupon, Google, on top of that our roles, all of our relations, our kids, our grandkids, our significant other, our hubbies, our wives, etcetera.

We have all these demands placed on us all the time, not to mention, just living our lives—waking up, eating breakfast, brushing our teeth, exercising, living, achieving our goals, etcetera. We have all these demands, all these things coming at us all of the time. So there’s not surprising that there’s so much stress and there’s so much stress running rampid through our society. because as yet, we haven’t really learned and evolved tactics that evolving and handling stress.

Meaning our stressors and the available amount of info and information to sort thru and process those has exponentially increased, while our capability to essentially handle it and deal with it and sort with it and digest it and process it and use it and embody it, has barely increased in any way. It has basically increased a couple little baby steps in disproportionately to the exponential increase of the other side of it, which is what's really anticipated of us.

Reishi Mushroom: A Real Superstar

So in this piece we're going to talk of and find out about one of my favorite herbs in history, and in fact possibly the most important herb on the planet. And why I say that, why I make that claim, is that this herb is the most scientifically analyzed of any herb ever known, ever studied, etcetera. On top of that, it is one of the most revered, if not the most revered, herb of all of traditional China. And naturally that herb is none other than reishi mushroom. Again, it is one of my favourite herbs and an herb that I have worked with rather a lot during the past 8 or so years. It is one herb that I've gotten a large amount of actually solid feedback about and I've heard just plenty of great success stories.

When it comes to the immunological response and lots of the other systems in the body, what makes reishi so dynamic and so amazing is it's whats considered to be twin directional. And they have fundamentally worked out that reishi has 600-900 different chemicals. From that, they've understood, at least scientifically, that reishi modulates about 300 or so different processes in the body. Which, that sure is a lot…there’s a lot going on there, particularly purely for the one herb. But in particular what makes it so amazing is that, in the context of the immune reaction, it's not an immune stimulator like a large amount of herbs, and it is not an immune depressant like a lot of herbs and substances also.

What makes it special and unique is that it is an immune regulator, or an immune modulator. So when we've got a weakened immune condition, depressed immune condition, it can then bring that up and fortify that part of our immune system. And if we have got a part of our immune system which is inappropriate or if we have allergies or autoimmune things, it can kind of calm that down and assist in bringing that back to balance. And that is actually the overarching thing, is reishi helps to just balance the immunity mechanism. And over time , make the immune mechanism stronger, more effective, and better.

Herbs like Reishi Mushroom tend to live in very stressful, very threatening environments, much like we do, and they've an intelligence, they've got an immune system similar to ours, and they must fight off lots of the same attackers, if not more so than we do.

You believe, like reishi for instance, grows on a crumbling log in an exceedingly clammy forest. Now when you believe damp and moist, customarily what is evoked is fungus, bacteria, mosquitoes, bugs, and just not a hospitable environment. So in order for reishi to survive and to reproduce and to live, it has to fight off all of these things. Same thing with chaga and cordyceps. So these mushrooms have an intelligence because they themselves have to ward off plenty of similar things we do so as to survive.

New Age Tarot Revealed In The Osho Zen Deck

Infused with the wisdom of Zen, the Osho Zen Deck helps the reader to focus on what is happening in your life right here and right now. The images allow you to see your inner thoughts and emotions. They, in turn, show you how your thoughts and emotions are reflected in your world. They lend themselves to meditation and introspection. This is very different from most tarot decks that are used more for divination and fortune telling

Born in India, Osho, previously known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, was a controversial spiritual leader both in his early career and even more so in his later years. In the 1960s, he was an outspoken critic of organized religion as well as his attitude toward more open sexuality. In the 1980s, he was the central figure of an Oregon Commune that was involved in a bio-terror incident against the local community.

One of the main differences between the Osho Zen deck and many other tarot decks is the images on the cards. They are much more modern than the images of decks that have been inspired by middle age symbolism. They are said to be much easier to gain insight from the reader. The reader is able to gain wisdom from these images by showing the him or her the situation as it really is. One word descriptions for each card describe the meaning and symbolism that is conveyed.

Like most decks, the Osho Zen deck comes with a book explaining the meaning of each card. Obviously, these explanations are rooted in Zen thought. The insight in the book also contains humorous descriptions that lend themselves to offer a different viewpoint for the reader.

The Osho Tarot Deck is great for both beginners and for more seasoned readers of the tarot. The beauty and simplicity of the images help the reader to find the correct answers for the questions they are seeking. The here and now is revealed with this deck.
